Paul Hamilton, CFI, DPE (SPE / SPIE / PE)
With his background, Paul Hamilton is in a unique position to bring the thrill and positive impact of adventure sport aviation to pilots and enthusiasts.
Paul has been involved with adventure sport aviation for over thirty years and has been able to combine his passion for flying and filming. With a specialty for capturing Point Of View (POV) adventure sport aviation footage, Paul is Producer of over forty films on ultralights and light sport aircraft including fixed wing, weight-shift control trikes, powered parachutes, powered paragliders, paragliders, and hang gliders.
Paul is co-owner of Adventure Productions, a full service multi-media production company specializing in aerial adventure sport aviation productions. Adventure Productions produces feature film DVD & video series, books, and CDs sold at Adventure Productions online store AP-Stores.com and through a dealer network, as well as, Internet-related products, commercial, and industrials.

Paul is one of the first people to receive Sport Pilot Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) for Sport Pilots. As a DPE he is designated by the FAA to conduct Practical Tests (checkrides) and issue Sport Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor FAA certificates/licenses.
Paul is also a Master Rated Hang Glider Pilot and Advanced Rated Paraglider Pilot with the USHGA, United States Hang Gliding Association.
Paul began as a flight instructor 30 years ago teaching Hang Gliding with a local ski shop, as well as, developed and taught Hang Gliding with the University of Nevada Reno as a credit course in the athletic department.
In 1978 Paul was issued a Patent for a variable camber inflatable wing. He graduated from the University of Nevada Reno with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering specializing in Aeronautics. Paul went on to work as an Engineer in Design, Analysis, and Flight Testing with Lear Fan 2100, developing the business turbo prop jet.
After his work at Lear Fan, Paul founded Adventure Productions in 1988, a full service multi-media production company specializing in adventure sport aviation productions featured at Adventure Productions online store AP-Stores.com.
Paul is a Professional Engineer, registered in Nevada and California, and does consulting work. Today, Paul, operates a flight school specializing in weight-shift control trike. He also teaches in light-sport airplane. The flight school helps Paul bring the joy and freedom of flight to so many, as well as, keeps Paul aware of student pilot needs and ensures Adventure Productions training DVDs, videos, books, and CDs meet those needs.
